Barbara Ann (Osman) Stenton, beloved wife and mother and Towson, Maryland resident, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday September 6, 2020 in Rosedale, Maryland with her husband and daughters by her side. She was 80 years old. 

Barbara Ann was born March 7, 1940 in Schenectady, New York to the late Lee E Osman (deceased 2003), and Margaret Cowser Osman (deceased 2007), a GE engineer and homemaker respectively. Barbara later moved to Marblehead, Massachusetts with her parents when just a baby. This is where she grew up with her 3 brothers (Robert, Richard, and Dana) and 2 sisters (Marilyn and Diane) and spent her formative years graduating from both the local public elementary, junior high, and high school. After graduating from Marblehead High School in 1958 she attended Newton Whelsley Nursing School where she graduated with honors in 1962 in their registered nurse program.

In 1964 Barbara enlisted in the Air Force where she spent 2 years serving as a 1st Lieutenant Registered nurse at Loring Air Force base during the Vietnam war. After her enlistment was completed, she worked in the blood bank as an IV therapist at Lynn Hospital. After the birth of her first child, she worked part time at Faulkner Hospital. 

On December 19, 1970 she married Frederick G. Stenton, an engineer from Los Angelos, California.  They were married for nearly 50 years about to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. On January 17, 1973 in Newton, MA and September 21, 1976 in Salem, MA, she welcomed her two daughters (Sandra and Jennie) into the world, who were her pride and joy.  She gave up her job as an IV therapist in 1974 so she could be a full-time wife and mother which meant the world to her.  From 1975 to 1995 Barbara and her husband resided in Salem, Massachusetts where they brought up their two daughters and remained close to their family living in Marblehead and the North Shore. In 1995 she moved with her husband down to Towson, Maryland due his government job transfer where they have since resided.  The birth of her grandson Anthony in 2016 was a major highlight in her life.  She loved her family immensely. 

She was a devoted and faithful Christian all her life. She instilled within her daughters a deep love of the Lord, Jesus Christ and his Holy Word, which they both will always be eternally grateful.  She treasured her family so much and embraced every moment with them. She was the most amazing wife and mother with a heart of gold- a true blessing!  Some of her favorite memories were those spent in Pennsylvania during summer family vacations. She will always be missed and fondly remembered. She will especially be beloved by her husband and daughters.

She was a longtime volunteer with Meals and Wheels in Towson, MD, which she did with her husband Fred.  These were happy memories for her where she really enjoyed talking and reaching out to many of their customers, especially those living alone. She always had so much compassion for others. 

She was the loving wife of Frederick George Stenton of Towson, Maryland; beloved and devoted mother of Sandra M Stenton of Towson, Maryland and Jennie Errichetti of Holly Springs, North Carolina; loving mother in law to Christopher Errichetti of Holly Springs, North Carolina and cherished grandma to Anthony Errichetti of Holly Springs, North Carolina. 

She was a caring sister to her late brother Robert Osman (deceased 2019), Marilyn Lauff of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Richard Osman of Melrose, Massachusetts, Diane Parmelee of Marblehead, Massachusetts, and Dana Osman of Sebastian, Florida. 

A wake service will be held at Neil funeral Home in Harrisburg, PA on Monday, September 14th, 2:00 to 6:00 pm. The Funeral service will begin at 2 pm on Tuesday September 15th at Neil Funeral Home followed by a burial service at Churchville Cemetery in Oberlin, PA.  She will receive Military funeral honors at the burial service which will include the folding and presenting of the United States burial flag and the playing of taps.
