When we remember Ben we do so with a heart of gratitude for how The Lord has kept his family, our dear Rose, Shise and Ageba.

Angel Ben! There is no need to ask how you're getting on with those other celestial beings in whose company you've been these past twelve years (how time flies!); I trust its been awesome for you. On this terrestrial side, we continue with thanks to God for the privilege of having known you. We thank Him for the Grace that He has provided for your darling Roselyn, and your dazzlingly brilliant children Shise and Ageba, who have kept the flag of your enviable legacies flying. Another year has passed by, and memories of you have continued.

I may have said it here before, and I say it again; the most 'ordinary', everyday things regularly remind me of you. An airplane in the sky (and Kaduna Airport where you once worked!), a song on the radio (from Tracy Chapman's 'Baby Can I Hold You', to Handel's Halleluiah Chorus), Nigeria's Independence Day anniversary (you loved Nigeria with a deep passion, and did all that you could to contribute to her progress and prosperity. I am so glad and thankful to God to see these qualities of selflessness and generosity of spirit continually being expressed through Shise, Ageba and your jewel, Roselyn).

It is pleasant to remember your easy smile. Your generosity. Your gentle spirit. Your deep intellect. Your friendliness.

It has been eleven years since you transited to glory, me and my children were to watch Beckett yesterday but we changed our mind and watched a man of all seasons instead and differed it for today not knowing it will coincides with your death anniversary.
Beckett happens to be our favourite movie. We have watched it over and over again. I have never brought myself to watch it since your demise until today because I want my children to learn the lessons in the movie.
