My mom was born 11/6/1946 in Detroit, MI.  She was adopted by Col. Dale D. Dixon and his wife Willie (Billie) Minelle.  They added a son John Charles Dixon in 1948.  The military family moved around over the years living in Japan and Italy where her father was commander of Camp Darby in Vencinza Italy.
