I grew up very sheltered and had formed opinions from a Catholic school school perspective.  People who listened to anything not mainstream or who had different haircuts or hair colors were mean and scary. My school actually suspended several students for having short, colored, and/or shaved hair. When I went to college, I was lucky enough to find friends who weren't the catholic school normal. I lived with a Holli all through college and her sister, Candice, came up to party with us. That's how I still picture Candice. Short pink hair and seriously cool clothes and a shy, warm smile that didn't judge anybody. I was amazed at her easy individuality. I'm sad that her light is gone now. Thank you Candice for shining.
