Mom was born in Tarrytown, NY in 1908, the daughter of Robert and Ada Snyder.
She attended the Tarrytown Public Schools and worked in the New York Telephone Compay.  She met and married Daniel Maloney, my father, and they divorced after a brief marriage and four years later, she married Garrett Murphy and had three sons, Thomas, Robert and Garry.  She enjoyed participating in Flea Markets and it was at one of them that she died while walking across a grassy field to her car.  Mom was a generous and loving grandma to my sons.  She would often visit us and did chores to help me, for which I was so grateful.  Mom became a Telephone Company Pioneer after 30 years of employment with them .  She went on bus trips and enjoyed the trip to the Amish Country so much.  Mom often "baby sat: for me and was always there when I needed her.  She died at age 68 and we all miss her so much.  I only wish I had told her how much I loved her, I hope she knew.
