The son of the late Edgar L. and Maereather Golden Tolbert, Mr. Talbot was born in Phenix City, AL and was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was retired from Kysor-Warren Manufacturing Company and was of Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his wife, Rose Marie Lightfoot Talbot; three sons, Curtis L. Talbot, Jr., Maurice Talbot (LaWanda) and Eric Hart (Yolanda); two daughters, Nasheda Talbot Williams and Danielle McGregor (Sammy); twenty-one grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four brothers, Jimmy Tolbert, Donald Tolbert (Ann), Edgar Tolbert and Henry Evans (Betty); eight sisters, Debra Houston, Billie Montgomery, Julia Cobb, Willie Mahone, Geraldine Lyles, Vivian Tolbert, Pat Banks and Sue Jones (Larry); a host of nieces,nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
