Obituary

July 11, 2017

David Timothy Charity went to be with the Lord on July 6th, 2017.  He was born on October 19th 1958.  His father William Charity precedes David in death and he is survived by his wife Julie Alderman Charity, his children Benjamin Charity and Jenni Charity Wright, his son-in-law Joshua Wright, his grandchildren Cosette and Juliette Wright, his mother Sandra Charity, his siblings William Charity and family, Paul Charity and family, Kim McKinney and family, and James Charity and family.  Although born in Maine, he made his way down to Florida as a teen where he met his wife Julie, after having their two children they eventually made their way up to Georgia where the family still resides.  He owned Arbor Wood Products and enjoyed spending his free time with his family.  He had a passion for Christ and was a wonderful example of a Godly husband and father.  David was known for his big heart and readiness to help others.  He had a constant smile, gave the best hugs, and had a lively sense of humor.  He had empathy for anyone in need and had a special place in his heart for children in need, and especially those in need of a family, so in lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Bartow Family Resource Center or to his beloved nephew who, as a pastor on a limited budget, is in the process of raising money to adopt a child out of the foster care system.
