A small world, as mentioned before I wish I had spent more time with Jim at his book shop in Onehunga but too busy too busy working away not taking time for other important things in life ! Today have had a memorial candle lit for Jim.
This memorial website was created in memory of our beloved James, Jim, Jimmy, 81yrs young. An energetic and pious man.
Born on February 2nd, 1934 and passed away on December 10, 2015 at Little Sisters in Herne Bay, Auckland Peacefully and with God.
We will remember him forever and he is survived by his 6 Children, James, Teresa, Jacinta, Joseph, Katrina and Tina and his 15 Grand Children, his two brothers Michael & Vincent and their families and all who walked with him and learnt from him throughout is life.

I wish I had made contact earlier. He was a good man. Great to learn more about him at this site... Thanks very much. adios Jim . I will try to add a photo from that time if I can manage the technology !

Trial work in Hawkes Bay 1969
Jim supervised two trials I undertook for him in my first year as a Horticulture Advisory Officer in Hastings as an extension officer with the then Dept of Agriculture
One day I will locate two photos of them . One with Jim. To do with two fungus: Sclerotinia diseases. Of dwarf tomatoes and golden queen peaches, economically important crops on the Heretaunga plains then.
