His Life
July 25, 2017

My dad was born May 21, 1965 in Buffalo, New York. We spent most of our lives in Springville afterwards when he had the three of us, Tina, Rachel, and Allen Himes. My Dad was always a tough guy- I'd never mess with him! But, he was also a big teddy bear inside. He had a good heart, cared about his friends and family a lot, and would do anything for them.

The most important life lessons I've ever has I learned from my dad growing up. He taught me how to ride a bike, drive a stick, measure a board, throw a basketball, and throw a punch lol! He taught me never to let anyone disrespect me, the meaning of hard work, and the importance of taking care of family. In Springville I remember him taking me to feed the horses, pick raspberries by the railroad tracks, walking to the park and EZ-Shop to get candy. He would play basketball and football with the neighborhood kids, and looked out for them all like they were his own. He impacted so many people's lives, and I hope he knew what a difference he made for some of them, and for us kids. No one is perfect, he made mistakes as we all do, but I knew if I needed advice he was the person to call. I love you, Dad. I miss you so much already...
