Ms. Gloria J. Russell was born on October 24, 1937 to the late Mr. Garfield and Mrs. Sallie Russell in Tallapoosa   County.   She departed this life on June 28, 2017 at Russell Medical  in Alexander City, Alabama.   She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Cleophus Johnson, Sr. and one daughter, Gloria Dean Burns.  

Gloria’s memories will be cherished by her grandson, Tony Russell of Wetumpka, Alabama; one brother, Lorenzo (Shirley) Russell of Dadeville, Alabama; one sister, Sis. Willie A. McIntyre; an uncle, Deacon Luther Tolbert, Sr.; two     special friends Jeanette Griffin and Nellie Heard; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
