Mrs Grace Labode was an indomitable force who defied the limitations of the human condition. She had convictions that were unshaken by the vicissitudes of fate. She remained brilliant in darkness, joyful in pain, humorous in suffering and independent of pity. I was graced to have cared for her medical needs, however briefly during her visit to Nigeria. Even posthumously, the light of her memory shines clemently on the downtrodden and poor. She will ever be fondly remembered. Till we meet again, Adieu Madam.

I just want to thank God for the amazing life you’ve lived Aunty, you’ve been a huge blessing to my life, and I’m sure you were a huge blessing in many other people’s lives. Not once did I ever see you angry or without joy, you would always bring happiness and joyfulness whenever I saw you.

Although it’s sad that you have gone, instead of dwelling on that, I celebrate you for the profoundly favoured and amazing life you have lived. You are the reason I take the course that I take In university, If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t have had the necessary guidance needed for the direction of my life, regarding my professional career.

As such, I know I must do well, as a sign of my gratitude for your help and assistance. I’m so grateful to God that you were put in my life, the memories we share will never be forgotten, you will be greatly missed Aunty. I pray that you are in the comfort of the Lord.

My darling sis. as I fondly call you, I still can't find words to express my pain at your passing. Our friendship and sisterhood of over two decades bear witness to the saying - "a friend who sticks closer than a brother"! Toyin, you were my sister from another mother, my cheerleader, my fashion police, chief organizer, gist buddy, confidant, go-to person and I can go on and on.

Even though I’m still trying to make a sense of your passing but I’m consoled by the many memories we shared.

Sis, you were so loving, beautiful, brilliant, giving, energetic, intentional and audacious. I’m writing now out of gratitude that I had you in my life. Thanks for sharing yourself with my family and me.
Rest well darling sis. Rest well Toyin till we meet again at Jesus’ feet.

With lots of love,
Atinuke Kudaisi

Tribute to Aunty Grace
Aunty Grace was so kind, thoughtful and generous with her time. She was also quite wise who I could always depend on to give me good advice. I will never forget the way Aunty Grace would be my voice and help my to express the way I was feeling and how I viewed the world. I’ll always treasure the memories that we made, especially all the farm trips we had. I especially loved the last trip that I had with her. I’m glad to have those memories so I could look back on them. We miss you so much, Aunty Grace. We know you are safe with God in heaven.

Toyin,
My wife and I remember how you made it easy for us to serve God, taking care of our kids in Children's church (hmm...especially our son!). Still remember your business advice, "You make money using money".
You were ever so impressionable! Always spoke your heart! We will miss dearly!
Rest in peace!

Aunty aunty aunty!
Just mentioning your name brings joy to my heart and seeing you smile I can’t help but smile too, although you've left such a gap. That joyful look you always had brought joy to myself and others around you. Your radiant energy was contagious to all. You’ve always been a big supporter of my life and I thank you for that. Even though I can no longer see you, I know you’re still supporting me from above. When I was told you passed away peacefully with a smile, I was relieved and I thought that is so you. I will miss you dearly, but you will always live on in my memories. May your soul rest in peace Aunty Toyin and may the Lord provide peace, comfort and strength to Uncle Lekan and us all. Shalom.

Dr. & Mrs.'Sola Aboyewa.

We met Ms Grace at Winners Chapel international, Children church, where we both serves God together. We are sisters, pray together, do welfare together on our teachers just enjoy serving God together. We were both teachers in the same class and at some point she was the team leader. Ms Grace like we fondly call ourselves in the children's church, she loves God and the children. I can forget how we used to go and prepare and arrange the class on Saturdays for Sunday services, she just enjoys serving God. Ms Grace is so unique, she doesn't forget the children names with numbers of children that we have in the children church, hmmm heaven general. I can forget how my little girl too used to look for her in the church in any programme and she can't wait to hear Ms Grace calls her "Opeyemi super" it comes to a point where everyone knows them together "Ms Grace and Opeyemi super" like she fondly call her. Pages of books or words of mouth cannot complete the attributes and qualities of Ms Grace. Can't forget when my husband handover my one of my daughters to Ms Grace for her to be her mentor, such a great and profitable decision. The impact and memories of Ms Grace are unforgettable. We pray to God to keep and uphold the family and all she left behind.

My dear Grace, I remember you with fondness, how you called my name, and did your mouth, how you rolled your eyes and said, really, really, ehn, your humour, how I will share Ibadan jokes with you and you mimic them and we would laugh. I will never forget, most especially how you were there for me in my darkest moments. You were always looking out for me and encouraging me, sending me thumbs up, and words of encouragement. You are with The Lord now, I can imagine you looking down and wondering why we are sad. Rest in the bosom of our Lord till we meet again. You were such a sweetheart ❤️

Paul and Grace made sure I rekindled my love for Christ. They went out of their way to pick me up every Sunday and take me to Church. I am yet to meet a couple that selflessly threw themselves into charitable projects without seeking recognition or adulation. You will be missed, Grace. Paul needs all of us right now because she was his everything.

Hmmmm….

Sometimes words fail us and all we can do is sigh.

Hmmmmm…. Toyin!

My consolation is that I will see you again and then I will have the explanation of your early exit.

Lekan, may your Soul fragments be held together by the glue of Love and the comfort of the Spirit of Christ.

Hmmmmm….

Help us Lord to keep walking with You despite all the challenges we face. Help us get through every isoro (trial) whilst holding unto your Hand.
