Dear Issac, As one of your best friends from St Thomas elementary School in Pala I cherish the memories from our childhood. After 27 years destiny brought us together in a chance encounter when I ran into you in a train going from Kottayam to Trivandrum , on my visit to Kerala from USA. My thoughts and prayers for your family.
All our times together bring back such fond memories. From our visits to Madras where you made all of us feel at home; visits to the various cake shops even in the midst of a flood and having to push the car through the muddy waters; you staying with me at the US Consulate the wee hours of the morning; the gatherings at home where you always had us smiling with your quirky sense of humour and your generous and larger than life personality. You will be missed and forever remembered in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Chitra Aunty.
God bless you and may you always be with Jesus, enjoying an ice cream and humming a jingle. You were so kind and generous, so accomplished yet humble and down-to-earth and always loving and sweet. Always in touch with the child in you, your nephews and nieces considered you to be one of them, you bridged the generations seamlessly. The endearing way in which you spoke to everyone, the love that was so evident, the way you used to call each of us “mol” or “mon” or “vava”, thank you for all the love Ithakchachan.
Dear Ithakachachen, we are really going to miss you. You brought so much joy and laughter to all our gatherings. I am wondering which was sweeter, you or all the sweets you had! Or was it those sweets that made you such a sweet, loving person? You will live in our hearts and memories forever. Our prayers and thoughts with you Chitra Aunty. Lots of love.
Dear Ithakachachan, You taught us how to live. To enjoy life, to laugh, to make memories, and to love and cherish loved ones. We will miss you so much. With you and Chitra aunty in prayers and thoughts. Lots of love.
