Ishna was a dear colleague and a trusted friend. Even though I only worked with her for six months, it was like we'd known each other for years. Working with Ishna was a joy. She brought an intense work ethic, exceptional relationship management capabilities and a passion to serve others to everything that she did. Ishna "lit up a room" with her wonderful smile and kind ways. I miss her deeply--knowing her and calling her friend was one of the great blessings in my life. With a heavy heart, Julie Barefoot

I like everyone else had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful angel here on earth, Ishna Hall. During my brief encounters with Ishna, she always had a pleasant spirit and contagious smile that would light up a room. We sat together during our 1836 Society Luncheon in April and she was very engaging with our donors and everyone she encountered. Her presence will be missed here at Emory.

To the Hall family, my sincere condolences. Your beloved Ishna was a beautiful human being and we are all saddened not to have more time with her. For the Emory and Goizueta communities, Ishna left a significant mark in just a short period of time. She embodied the definition of colleague and I will forever be grateful to have had the opportunity to know her. 

In the short while since Ishna joined the Goizueta family, her impact on the Goizueta community and the Goizueta Alumni Board has been immense. I will miss and fondly remember her eternally positive attitude and passion for what she did, not to mention her contagious enthusiasm for all things related to alumni engagement and life in general. In my first meeting soon after Ishna joined, what remember most her was the smile, passion and positive energy. One hour went by so fast and both of us really enjoyed the conversation about her plans for GBS. We will all miss her. Jag Sheth

It was my first and only meeting I had with you. Usually I am so sleepy during classes, but I remember how your bubbly smile, personality, and knowledge of Emory kept me awake. I was going to make it my business to tell you how wonderful you were when I saw you again. There is a new beginning for you now. Remembrance is the polishing of the heart and I will remember you as the shining star you are!

You never know when you will cross paths with someone who will touch your soul with their spirit, knowledge, and caring. I'm so fortunate to have been able to work with Ishna during her time at Emory and will always remember her. May she inspire us all to strive for excellence, work through challenges, and reach for our dreams. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
