TRIBUTE TO A GREAT IN-LAW
The very day you came to my house to ask for my daughter's hand in marriage for your son Chidi, I identified you as a calm, unassuming, detribalized, and easy --going man. These attributes are no doubt, the hallmarks of great men.
It is noteworthy that ten years after that pre-nuptial visit which culminated in Chidi and Esther getting married in 2014, I never received any reports of your interference whatsoever. No wonder your children are successfully married to men/women from other ethnic groups.
It is disheartening that you departed this earthly realm just one decade after we became in-laws. We cannot question God. We take solace in the fact that you are in our mind continuously. To live in the heart of people that love you is not to die.
 Your legacy lives on.

I am writing this tribute about my father in law who took me as a son with a heavy heart. The consolation we all have is that you’re with Jesus and on the last day we all will meet again to part no more forever.

You were such a humble and God fearing man who related with everyone and made them feel both at home and loved. Your smile, encouragement, fatherly counsel will be sorely missed.
I will miss your fatherly prayers and updates on Nigeria and world politics.

Rest on daddy and keep singing to Jesus till we meet again.

In Loving Memory of My Beloved Dad
Daddy had that great smile, a smile that could light up the room and fill our hearts with warmth and joy. It was a smile that I will always treasure and carry with me in my memories.
Daddy fondly called me Chidinma (meaning God is good), a reminder of the faith that guided his life. I can still hear his voice calling out my name, filled with love and affection while patting my cheeks. He brought us up in the way of the Lord, teaching us the values of kindness, compassion, and integrity. His faith was a guiding light in our lives, shaping our character and influencing our decisions. He taught me how to ride a bike on one of our visits to the village patiently guiding me through each wobbly turn until I found my balance. His encouragement and patience gave me the confidence to conquer new challenges and embrace life's adventures.
Today, as I reflect on the life of my dear dad, I am filled with gratitude for the love, guidance, and support he provided. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in me and the memories we shared together.
Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Dad. You will always be remembered and cherished.
