James Henry Holley Sr was born on June 19, 1947 to John and Rosa Holley in Westville, Holmes County, Florida. He graduated from Ponce De Leon High School class of 1967. Upon graduating, he joined the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort MaCallen Alabama where he met his first wife Mary Elaine Crego. On December 12 1968 they married. He did 3 tours in the Vietnam war. After receiving an honorable discharge, the family settled down in the Holmes County area. From this union he had 6 children. In May of 1981 James and Mary divorced. He remarried in June of 1982 to Ruth Dennis. From this union he had two children. He is predeased by his parents, 2 children, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by 6 children his wife of 33 years and 10 grandchildren.
