Janelle and I were very good friends living in Melrose. We did our early morning walks together for 15 to 20 years. We walked a mile out and then a mile back and in that time we had solved a lot of the world's problems, the city's problems and anything else that needed discussing. We really enjoyed these times and became the best of friends. I wished we could have lived closer together the last 2 years and continued our visiting. Janelle was a really fine person and everyone in Melrose loved her. From Betty Burleson

Janell brought laughter into a room. She had such a fun and "quirky" personality. I'm really not sure if everyone laughed with her or at her, I just know we laughed! She was so much fun to be around. I miss you momma! I love you! See you later...
