4 years from us already? Here in Huntsville I'm reminded of Jeannie every time I drive Wynn Drive past Oakwood Gardens and I see those large pear (I think) trees lining the cemetery drive. I understand she's the one responsible for the planting of those trees which, as far as I'm concerned, are a living, ongoing, growing memorial of the 1,000's of lives hers touched so positively and spiritually.

Hard to believe it’s been 4 years already. Still, I often miss Mom like it was yesterday. I think I miss the everyday nothings the most. Sitting around laughing or watching tv together. Or breaking into fits of laughter at very inappropriate times, like during worship, or prayer, forgive us Lord. Miss you Mom.

It's getting a little less painful, but I still miss Jeannie at work sometimes. Especially when I see geese strolling painfully slow across the road. Or when I want to drive fast... #seeyouinthemorning

Thought of Jeannie on her birthday, May 16, when I finally learned to swallow a pill with anything other than liquid -- a trick Jeannie told me about. I miss my cousin. #seeyouinthemorning

Today is still marked in my phone calendar as the birthday of Phyllis Jean Watkins, lovingly called "Jeannie" by all who knew her. Looking at all the pictures on this website reminded me that she's physically no longer with us, but Praise God! we have the blessed hope of seeing her again. This is a special moment to remember her birthday. Oakwood University (where she worked for so many years) is better for her having worked here. #ImissJeannie #seeyouinthemorning
