Jerome was that bright star in so many people’s lives, shining high; it only makes sense that there will now be a star officially named in his memory and in memory of all the selfless deeds he has done for others throughout his life. In October, the Jerome D. Carr Memorial Star can be viewed from Buffalo, NY USA in the morning. Around 5:50am in early October (Eastern Daylight Time), this star can be found at an elevation of 62° in the east.

It’s Christmas and Jerome you are so missed this year. Remember the Christmas in New Jersey when we binge watched holiday movies for days? Your favorite Christmas movie was The Family Stone and Miracle on 34th Street and you got us all to watch them and love it. Thank you for the most wonderful Christmases, memories I will never forget and always cherish. I feel you with me this year and I’m so grateful to have you with me in spirit. I have many hilarious stories of Jerome. However, one of my favorite memories was the time Jerome, Matt and myself went to TJ Maxx when they visited me. It was a rainy day with nothing to do. We decided to go shopping! Jerome was so intense. Before we went in he said in all seriousness “I just want you to know that I have to go off on my own that’s just the only way I can really shop- without distraction. As my brother Matt and I walked the aisles and shopped a bit we finally met up with Jerome. He had two full carts of items. His first words were “so hear me out we need all this.” One cart included two massive statues of a face. He did not mess around with his love for decor! I loved that in his cart he had a couple things for my nephew. It made me realize how much he cared for and thought of my nephew. It wasn’t the money spent (we were at tj Maxx lol) but it was about the thought he put into each item. It made me love Jerome even more. As silly of a memory this was, it is one I think of and smile about. Boy what I wouldn’t give to take another trip to TJ Maxx with Jerome. I miss and love you!!! XO
