I have 58 years of fond memories of Larry. One that stands out is when Loren and I visited him at the University of Washington when he was in dental school sitting at his desk in his one-room apt. Studying. Those were his humble days.
we loved when him and Janice would come to our lake house for dinners. Larry had a few gin and tonics.
Rest in peace Larry. We love you. Hope there’s some good fly fishing there. Love Cheryl and family

Larry was a brother-in law, a good friend, fly fishing buddy. I knew Larry for a long time, I think since ‘68, so it’s been awhile & I enjoyed every get together. Larry was good guy & will be missed & long remembered. Larry was a great brother in-law, & was very close to Patti & the family over the years as was Loren. When I met Patti, I hadn’t met any of the family & didn’t know that both Patti’s brothers, Loren & Larry, liked fly fishing. Over the years we all did a lot of fishing along with his brother Loren & good friend Donnie Frogner. I know Larry would have liked to have gotten in several more fishing trips if he could have, & I remember even in the last few years when Larry wasn’t getting around well that when we would get together to visit & tell some fishing stories that Larry would often be ready to go fishing the next morning, he loved it. Larry like his brother Loren I don’t think he ever really got to like cell phones or texting or computers, at least to my knowledge. I don’t think he was ever known to text, I know I never received one. Larry was a lot of things but one was a cowboy, he had some cowboy in him. Larry told me he was good with a gun & could handle a rope. Larry liked a good rodeo & we went to a number of them. Larry told me he used to ride in a few rodeos, & Larry said either saddle bronc or bare back was his preference. Larry did like a Toyota pickups, Gonzaga basketball, UW football, & usually country music. Larry also liked homemade pies, especially cherry pie. Anyway Larry will be greatly missed but Larry left us with a lot of great memories to be cherished & remembered.

I am very sad to hear of Larry’s passing. I have known the doctor for almost 40 years and I swear, he was probably the kindest man I have ever met. If all people had Larry’s attributes the world would certainly be a much better place.
