Linda Reid was one of the most interesting and likable people I ever met, very bright and warm. She was mom to my close friends growing up and always made us feel welcome; such fond memories of evenings with the Reid family. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

There's nothing better than a best friend and mom had one of the all-time greatest. I'll remember Linda for her wit and the laughter which emanated from any room she and my mom occupied. Lisa and Brent, I hope you are finding comfort in all that your mom was and the memories that she created.

Linda and I shared joys, sorrows, dinners, time with friends, and lots of great conversation. Her sharp mind, quick wit, and knowledge of a variety of subjects made me think on a deeper level. We made trips to DC museums, practiced tap dancing with her teaching, and spent evenings watching movies and shared lots of laughter. During these last few months visiting with her, I often came home knowing just how much her friendship had enriched my life. My condolences to her family. She loved you very much.

Linda was a very special woman and friend. I most admired her resilience and quick wit among her many qualities. She was my kayaking buddy and we shared some fun times on the water. During a recent visit, she recounted some of the art/city trips we had done and we laughed as she reminded me of details that I had forgotten. I will miss her!
She loved her family deeply. My condolences to all of you.

Dearest Lisa,Patrick Lindsay and Laura,
Let me start by telling you how much you were all loved by this wonderful woman. Our phone calls always included news about “the
Kids”! Lisa teaching in DC, Patrick fixing some electronics, making costumes for the girls (without a pattern) or a recent visit from Brent and Anita. She was so proud!!

I could write a book about our lifelong friendship but let’s just say no matter how long it had been since we had seen each other we just picked up where we left off. Always good belly laughs and scotch!!

College, families, jobs etc and before you know it    It’s all over. Linda was my very best friend always and forever I will miss her always. It has been a good run, my friend. Rest In Peace.  Love
    Carol. aka Pooka

Lisa and all,

What a life well lived! We loved visiting your family on our trips to Cochranton back in the 70’s and keeping up to date over the years. What a gift to re connect with your mom and get a behind the scenes tour of Mt Vernon and catch up again at Em’s volleyball match years later! So happy she could be a surprise special guest star at my parent’s 50th anniversary.
Finally, after my parents car accident we needed some help with their care and your mom arrived within hours and stayed for days!

Linda was a true renaissance woman and a force of kindness in the world.
God Bless you all.

Lisa,

I hate this part... No matter what is said, it isn't quite "right," not quite enough. Just remember your mom is no longer in any pain and is with all her loved ones who have gone before her.

Much love,
Maureen
