I only worked with Mal for two years, but 20 years later I still think fondly of him and feel privileged to be one of the many peoples lives that he touched.

The first day we met he introduced himself.......... Hi I am Mal, as iin "Mal A Tete' with a boisterous laugh after. I instantly saw a kind gentle man that I looked forward to working with..

Later on during one of my visits to the Winnipeg office from Toronto he mentioned to me his nick name was CRUSTY and I just laughed thinking it was perfect due to his wonderful sense of humor.  But two years later just before leaving Assante and Canada I told him I realized what is truly meant:

C - caring
R - resourceful
U - understanding
S - sympathetic
T - always true to himself
Y - youthful

Thank you Mal you were one of a kind.

To the family of Malcom Anderson, I am truly sorry for your loss. I am not 100% sure if Malcom is the person who worked at Great West Life on the 3rd floor in the Group Administration Dept. I worked there from 1962 to 1968 and knew him at that time, if he is the one. My memories of him were that he was a fine young man, very personable and of course extremely handsome. If my memory serves me correct he was the only fellow working with all of us girls. Again, sorry for your loss as from reading the obituary he was a great man. If he was not the one I apologize, but am thinking how many Malcom Andersons are there.
