Maryann & Mark eloped on August 23, 1979. She wore a long white dress with red flowers on it that I had made for my junior prom!! She & I loved that dress and she looked beautiful in it! She and Mark went to Florida for their "honeymoon" and stopped in to see our brother David .... so he was the first to meet Mark! I remember her calling me to tell me she got married ... of course I thought she was kidding!!! They were married for 31 years.

Maryann was the 3rd of 4 children. Her Dad, David Hasulak, worked for IBM for most of his adult life. Her Mom, Cathy, was a stay-at-home Mom. Because Dad worked for IBM, we moved alot growing up. Maryann was born in Rahway, NJ, lived in 3 places in Florida from about 1958-1970; lived briefly in Poughkeepsie, NY, then moved to Connecticut, where she lived until her passing.

Maryann was a star sprinter in high school, holding the school record for the 100 and 220 yard dashes for many, many, many years. Despite this, she was never a "jock" and preferred to hang out with the kids who weren't so conceited. She had a purple bedroom that she decorated with lots and lots of smiley face pillows and peace signs!

She didn't want to go to college and started working full time right after graduating from Ridgefield High in 1975.
