In his free time he enjoyed watching TV and movie westerns, especially “Gunsmoke”. He liked to listen to gospel, bluegrass, and country music. His favorite artist was Dolly Parton.

He also loved to read. His favorite book was the Bible. He read through his personal copy and highlighted his favorite passages. He also enjoyed reading magazines, and clipped out articles for safekeeping. He had envelopes full of clippings from magazines through the years.
