Uncle Wole was such an angel who has affected so many lives positively. You were such a shiny light to this generation you left behind and you are truly missed. You are gone too soon Uncle, "Oh, what a life to take, what a fun to break, we will be missing you dearly". Rest on, great joy to the addition to the angels in heaven.

Dadi Tobi as I fondly called him was indeed one of a kind! An exceptionally and outstandingly good man! Like Nathaniel in the Bible, in the express words of Jesus, in him was no guile! Dadi Tobi had such a pure heart and wished no one evil, always on the side of truth and justice. Every memory of you brings fond thoughts. I’ll never forget your smile, you always had that warm smile on your face. You will be missed. All your ladies will be fine in Jesus name

Uncle Wole touched our lives in countless ways. He was not just a brother-in-law; he was also a beloved member of our family.

Uncle Wole had a heart as big as his smile. His kindness radiated to all who knew him. He had an incredible ability to connect with people on a personal level, making them feel valued and loved. His caring nature was a beacon of light, providing comfort to those around him. I remember traveling to Ibadan with my family for a few days: we always had so much fun at his place.

We find solace in the knowledge that his legacy of kindness and care will continue to inspire us, guiding us through the challenges of life.

May his memory continue to be a blessing.

Rest in peace, dear Uncle Wole. You will be forever missed.

With love and cherished memories.

In loving memory of my dear big uncle, a devoted lecturer, hardworking farmer, and a man of unwavering discipline and faith. You not only shared your knowledge with many as a lecturer but also extended your caring heart when I was sick and when I wanted to resume school. You even drove me to school on my first day personally and I’ll never forget this. You taught many not to be lazy and impacted so much in me not only educationally but also religiously, psychologically and even physically. Times shared with you was never a waste. You were so full of life and also very funny in your own way with a great sense of humor. It hurts me so much to write this.Though your time with us was shorter than we wished, you lived a fulfilled and accomplished life in Christ Jesus. I take comfort in knowing that you are now in a better place, free from sin and pain, reunited with your Lord and Savior. Rest in eternal peace, dear big uncle. Your legacy will continue to shine brightly.️Your selflessness and support during my time of need will forever be cherished. Your kindness and guidance will be deeply missed.️

The news of your death was a shock to me Oga because you were hail and hearty the last time I saw you. I pray that your soul rests in peace and God grants your family the fortitude to bear your loss. Amen

Grandpa,
I miss you so much ,a plain, straight forward and discipline man.
The few moments I was privileged to spend with him, I learn a lot,he made me to understand the realities of life .

He is a man full of wisdom and counsel, He made me understand the reason I should have professional licence, when I complained of not having enough money he assisted me by paying for the licence.
A Man full of vision, even while on the hospital bed he was still encouraging and praying for me saying 'my daughter thank you God will bless you'
Grandpa you are really a good man.

You went so soon, At around 1:30pm that day. I saw that no movement in you again I left the room to the weep and pray for you to be restored but you gone to a perfect place to rest You've gone to that better place where there's no more pain,I'm sure heaven will rejoice on your Arrival .
Continue to rest in the bosom of Lord Jesus Christ.
I will miss you forever

Hmmmmmmmn, full of words, short of words to describe a *Father* .

I was raised by him, I started living with them since the beginning of their marriage, when people thought I am of no good he stood by me, I wanted to go to university, he encouraged me to start from somewhere.

To Glory of God i am doing very well today in the Education line.

His last days, he will look at me and say, "Yinka o se omo a toju e o, please
Continue to pray for me"
He will always ask myself and my husband to pray for him before leaving because he believed so much in the power of prayers.

One day when I got to his bedside he said "for days I have been unable to stand, Yinka, hold my hands I want to stand up and walk which he did, tears filled my eyes and we pray together.

Then, the last day throughout the night myself and my daughter watched you sleep, in morning you lectured her on how to use the inverter at home,

when I had to leave I tiptoe out the room not wanting to disturb your sleep not knowing that will be the last.

Sleep on DADDY.

It is painful saying this but i know that over there, there is no more PAIN.

Tribute to my “Egbon”
A whirlwind has blown, wrecking a fathomless havoc, uprooting Iroko from its base, sending a shivering wave to the ocean, sending terrors and anguish to man’s mind. The dust has settled But! Where is the roaring Lion? Where is the burning ember? Where is the fearless warrior? Where is my Egbon as I used to call you. You were my Egbon as our students used to call me Aburo Talabi being my Senior Professional Colleague.
A gallant soldier goes home!
Death why are you patternless and lacks rhythm? Death you are the last enemy that will be destroyed.
You came, you saw and you conquered!!!
Your memory shall be treasured. You spoke and stood by the truth no matter whose ox is gored! Rest on peacefully in the bosom of your creator till the resurrection morning.
Good night my “Egbon “

Even though you have gone, your good works outlive you. I thank you for your uprightness during the storm of life. I cannot believe I am writing this eulogy to my Uncle! I don’t think I have recovered from the news of your demise, I mean words cannot truly express how I feel! Sir, you left a really large vacuum no one can fill. However, my solace in all these is in the fact that you are in a far better place, devoid of pains and sorrows; right in the bosom of the Lord. So I would not mourn like one who has no hope but with the assurance that one day, when the Lord gathers His saints, I shall see you again. I love you, sir.

Oga, it was shocking to know about your transition to Glory. I didn't expect it. It was heart broken but I know that God knows the best

You were a Lecturer that doesn't produce half baked student. You thought me to be hardworking, honest and reliable in all my endeavours.

Oga was my Project Supervisor. He taught me to be self dependent, diligent and persevere. One of Oga statements is ' hard work can never kill '. So, one must work harder. When one impressed Oga on the farm, he would reward such an individual. While some find it difficult to finished their projects on time, my own was totally different. I finished the project colourfully

You were so passionate about the things you believed in. You were a man of many parts. You made a great marks and contributions in the life of many

I couldn't ask for for a better Oga, you were real and genuine

May God continue to protect your family in Jesus Christ name

Heaven's gain, our pain!!!
His journey was smooth and rough;
The paths, full of impacts;
The race, won but without farewell;
He fought battles, won all but one;
The only foe: death;
Thank God, He lives, he lives;
Oh, the mortal puts on immortality.

I met Uncle Talabi as a young lecturer at Agricultural Education Department, EACOED, Oyo about two decades ago. He was my HOD. He was dedicated to his work, a farmer to the core and a great scholar. His records and achievements in the department were unparalleled. He never condoned indiscipline and indolence. My boss was fearless but friendly. He loved the Lord.

The veteran is no more;
My boss is gone;
Weep no more;
Because joy comes in the morning.
Keep resting Uncle Talaqua,
Till the resurrection day.

Oga Mi Sir and My Father
My Oga and My Life

It took me so long to pen down your worth and values, not because I'm rebellious, not because I didn't have the time, not because I couldn't be bothered, not because I can't articulate my feelings but I discovered that ink is limited to express your worth and words are inadequate to chronicles your values

I would have loved you to stay longer to see you enjoy the fruits of all your endeavours but the decision of God is final because to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die....

The journey started in year 2001 when I gained admission into OYSCOED now EACOED. As a privileged Course Representative and later President of Department of Agricultural Science Education, I worked directly with him when he was the Head of Department. Those years of formation and making were not easy but today I am a living testimony, and not I alone, there are hundreds of my colleagues that are doing great in their various career. The success stories of today were born through unwavering commitments and dedication

After graduating from College, he called me if I would like to work in Ibadan before progressing in my academic pursue and I said YES. So, in April 2006, he offered me a job with free feeding and free accomodations. Through that, I became part of the family

Oluwole Adetunji Talabi family responsible for my school fee during my degree program. No stress or anxiety in paying my school and others fee throughout my first degree program. All the family members were loving, pleasant to be identified with and supportive

Oga Mi Sir, as I always address you, was hardworking, diligent, consistent, energetic, dedicated, highly resourceful, passionate and there is no impossible in his dictionary. With him, every work is very simple and he don't just direct, he too would involve in carrying out the work.  Planting of Crops, Application of Herbicide, fertilizer application, Harvesting of Maize, Harvesting of Cowpeas, Cropping of Fish, Cattle Grazing, Preparation of Cassava Peels, Gathering of Sand among other activities. Working with you was a fun, you gave me a big job to show my capacity. You explained expectations, you patiently answered questions and you were available if I needed help. Those years that I worked with you, you were not a Boss to me, you were a father and a great benefactor

Your passion for education reflected on the qualitative education that you ensured that every student that cross your path enjoyed. As a teacher, you molded several hundreds of life . You were not a lazy Lecturer. You were always available and dedicated to imparting knowledge, discipline and courage to the students

Oga Mi Sir, I won't shed tear because you are gone, rather I smile because you lived. God took you away to fill an empty space in heaven. I have comfort and assurance that you are resting in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ

You will forever be remembered for your good deeds and kind gestures

I am still heartbroken by your demise,even though l miss you,it gives me peace to know that u’re resting in the bosom of the lord.l can never deny the pain that l carry,but l will like to remember you as a blessing and a lesson.l want to treasure the life he shared with me over the pain that his death has brought me.you’re the best brother anyone could ever have,you’re my hero forever,l just wanted to tell you that l love you with all my heart even though you can’t see or hear me,you’re the most wonderful brother anyone could ask for,and no one will ever take your place in my heart.if l could build a stairways leading to heaven,l would,l would climb it daily just to see you and tell you how much l missed you,The hardest part wasn’t losing you,it’s learning to live without you,l will always love you bro.
Rest in eternal peace dear brother, you will live forever in my heart.

Oluwole Adetunji Talabi was a man of many parts to me. In 1971, I met him when I was 12 years old as a year my senior in Christ's School, Ado-Ekiti. He was in Mason House and I was in Dallimore and we had nothing in common during my two-year stay in that school which I ran away from due to severe bullying (my dad’s transfer offered me the golden opportunity).
At the University of Ibadan, we were roommates during our 2nd and 3rd years (33 Amina Way boy's quarters / Kuti Hall) and later hall mates at New PG Hall & Balewa Hall) over many years. In 1987, Wole squatted me and we shared the same bed at Oyo for over 2 years until I had my official residence and we both worked away from our Ibadan homes for over 20 years until I emigrated to the UK.
We had vacation jobs at Adeoti Farms for 2 years (courtesy of our big brother and friend (Segun Adeoti, his school mate) and finished from the same Faculty - Agriculture & Forestry. We were both members of Grand Order of the Nucleus (Excellent for character development).
During our Youth Service year, I started from Ekiti State and ended up in Ondo (Ondo State) where Wole was a lecturer at the then Adeyemi College of Education and I was a teacher at St Monica's Girls Grammar School. We spent quality time together.
After Youth Service during our Post-Graduate training, we both worked fulltime in neighboring schools at Jericho Ibadan. I was with Mrs. Sola Adesina at Jericho High School while Wole worked with Mrs. Dupe Babalola at Urban Day school.
I had the privilege of being Wole's best man. We were also close family friends and our children grew up together and we celebrated birthdays and family events over the years.
Wole was self-motivated and a highly focused person. He was extremely hard working and enjoyed excellent health. He had passion for life and living. The Lord mightily supported him to live out his dreams and he loved God.
Wole and I were completely different personalities so had different persuasions but shared the love of God together for most of our lives. He was a loving big brother to me. Glory to the name of the Lord. Amen.
May Wole's valiant soul meet sweet repose in the bosom of the Lord. Good night, dear brother until that glorious morning!
May the Lord comfort and uphold my dear sister Tope (an angel indeed) and Tobi, Dami and Tomiwa; sister Yemisi, bros Tayo, Femi, Remi and Kayode; extended family and friends IJMN, Amen. Please be encouraged by these words:
“But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are sleeping, that you would not grieve even as also the rest who have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose, so also those who have fallen asleep through Jesus, God will bring with him.” 1Thes. 4: 13-14

Cont'd...
Later in life I learnt of his wedding and visited to introduce myself to his lovely wife Tope a number of times. He lived by example loving his wife and children. I have great peace knowing that he touched many lives and lived honorably. After his family moved to Oluyole, we only see occasionally.
The brotherly bond was so strong that God allowed us to meet again when he visited me at home with Tope, but this time to say goodbyes. Brother Oluwole .. you'll remain cherished in my heart forever. I'll aways be grateful to have had him in my life.
I can never deny the pain that I carry, but I would like us to remember him as a blessing and a lesson. I want to treasure the life he shared with me over the pain that his death has brought. Death has robbed us of our best but has not extinguished the light. The fire will continue burning forever. God will comfort and uphold Tope, Tobi, and Damilola and Tomiwa...
Sister Yemisi, Bro Femi, Remi, Kayode and Bukola and their immediate families.
Goodbye, dear brother and friend ; you deserve eternal rest. You will live on forever in our hearts.

Brother Olu as fondly called by me was my big brother, I was his little sister in Anfani neighborhood. I was blessed that he cared so much for me in my youthful days. Young and innocent, I would tag along with him to neighborhood parties with my other big brothers Ayam.. Bros Femi and Gbenga Awosanmi. We rocked Anfani very well. He protected me so much no one could get near me. . He was a good and kind man.
In my university days he shielded me from dangerous lions, he was my support and guide. We shared secrets together and he always made me feel safe. He exemplified love and laughter and belief in fairness and justice.
I'm going to miss that crooked smile on his face that turns serious when I don't heed his corrections.
When my parents relocated to my village in Ikere Ekiti, he visited me with Gbenga to see how I fared. My parents welcome them with warmth and a bed for the night. They left early the next day..
