Randy was one of my closest friends during our high school days at Del Norte. Our friendship endured past those days as I always made it a point to visit with him whenever I returned to the area. One story I'd like to share is the time he and I drove from Crescent City to San Francisco for a New Year's Eve concert featuring the Allman Brothers. Times were different then so no big deal that two 17 year olds would get the key to the parent's car and make the drive over the holidays. Despite our efforts, we managed to escape the experience with no damage and some great memories. There are specific events that occur in our lives and change our future, that was one event for me and will never be forgotten. A great time with a great friend. Rest in peace, we'll be stopping by again someday.
