It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our colleague and friend Richard Robinson. Richard courageously fought a short and brave battle with cancer, and passed away April 6th at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. Richard was an integral member of the Easy 101 and Country 107.3 news team. Each morning, listeners woke to Richard’s voice broadcasting the day’s news in the most calm and professional manner.

Originally from Manitoulin Island, Richard joined the Easy 101 and Country 107.3 family in 2011 with more than a decade of broadcast experience from radio stations in Brantford and Sudbury. He was very highly regarded by his peers as an insightful journalist and excellent broadcaster.

Richard was a martial arts enthusiast who loved the outdoors, walking in the bush and hunting. He was a dedicated community volunteer who organized the radio station’s involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake.

He is survived by his loving wife Laurie and their three sons, Justin, Devon, and Ryan.

Richard will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.
