I can still hear the announcement..."Come tonight to the Big Gospel Tent, on the Corner of 33rd and Ocean View Blvd." There were free Bibles and sawdust on the floor of the ground. There you would find your father Elder Taylor playing the organ, my dad Pastor Eric C. Ward, preaching the Three Angles Messages--writing on the chalkboard or Elder Orlando Rudley leading the youth in song. Or, in my mind's eye I see your dad playing the organ at 31st Street Church just bust doing the Lord's work, us running around as children do. He was amazingly talented! That's what I remember as a child, him at the organ and always wearing black shoes. You and your beautiful sisters and gorgeous mom are there too. Yes, my dad is standing at the pulpit--nothing keeps good, God-fearing men down for long! That's what my Bible says! In a moment in a twinkling of an eye--the Lord is coming soon! Don't you know that? Long gone are those days, but I promise you, I'll do my best to meet them in the kingdom as I know you will too. The tears of this life will be a thing of the past and I won't even come to our memory.
"Blessed are those who die in the Lord, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from all their toils and trials; for their good deeds follow them!"
