Roger White

 Roger Albert White, 49, born on October 4, 1962 and passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2012 in Old Orchard Beach.  Roger never met a person that was not his friend. He was a gentle and caring soul. His smile and laughter were something that drew people to him. He was a carpenter by trade but there wasn't much he couldn't do. Ever helpful and compassionate he will be remembered fondly by all that were lucky enough to know him. As we continue this journey through life without him remember he watching us all and when the quirky moment happens it will be him reminding you that he is with you.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 30 from 5-7 p.m. at the Old Orchard Beach Funeral Home, 36 Portland Ave., Old Orchard Beach. Burial will be held at a later date at Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Welfare Society, P.O. Box 43, West Kennebunk, ME 04094.

Roger, I'm so sorry I could not attend your candle light vigil on Saturday night. I'm now on a new path in my life, one which I'm sure you would be proud of. I just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you as I often do.

I am here like everyone else because you are on my mind. Thanks for popping all the happy memories into my mind, its nice to smile when I feel like crying. I see your face in so many picture and I see so much of you in the girls and their sons everyday,your impish twinkle is in their eyes! Please Keep a watchful eye on them and help them be strong, they have a lot of healing to do.

Thinking of you today Roger, but that is no different from any other day..I keep coming back here because I miss you so, but also to see all the love felt for you...I still have a voice mail from you on my phone and I listen often because hearing your voice makes me feel close to you. I know you're keeping an eye on all of us, so don't stop..We all need to feel you near. God I miss you..

Roger, now that the "parties" gatherings and soggy vigils are over, please know you are still in our hearts and heads. We will never forget all the smiles and jokes and everything that made you who you were. I have so many great memories of times we all spent together and I never would have missed any of them. My only regret is that there wont be any more. I miss you Doger, love you.......

Hope to see such a wonderful turn out as Monday for the benefits: Candle Light VIgil on Friday night at 7:30 at the Gazebo in OOB and the spaghetti dinner from 3:00 to 6:00 on Saturday at the Lions Club in OOB both events are to celebrate Rogers life and the love that we shared with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roger, it was so long ago that you were a part of my life. An usher in Rich and my wedding. Seems like a whole other life and so long ago. I am sorry that I had not seen you recently but there were many fun times and good memories to think about. I will look for pictures to share with your two beautiful daughters. Roger had a heart of gold and would never cause anyone harm. He was a good person and will surly be missed. I was lucky to be able to call him a buddy. We worked and partyed together. He is in a better place now and my sympathy goes out to his loved ones.

Wow I have had this image of you, Roger in your cowboy pj's back when you and Steve Nason lived together way back in the 80's. I used to tease you about your Jammies!!! It had been a while since i had seen you, but 5 or 6 years ago I ran into you at the whaler. You recognized me right away and had a ready smile. Many years ago when we all hung out in the park, we used to have many laughs. Saddened by the news of your passing, RIP and give em hell up there!!

I know it is not foot ball season but you(we) always used that term,"Flag on the play," to opose one anothers thoughts or actions. And,"Shoomp" was your word.....there were many uses for that word.
