Moved to San Fransisco, CA to work for EMC- Leadership Development Program Associate, Audience Sponsorships, Global Marketing Operations

 Led ROI assessment of EMC Lotus F1 Sponsorship; presented findings to marketing leadership and gained approval to renegotiate partner terms resulting in savings of $150k over one quarter.
Collaborated with senior managers in Global Analytics to outline and develop social media amplification program and implemented localized campaigns to achieve 25% increase in engagement.

Spent a lot of time, visiting the Natl Parks and hiking spots around the Bay Area. Being a big fan of Michelin Star restaurants, he visited almost all of them in the Bay Area.

• Conducted robust analysis to assess Supply Chain counterfeits; conceptualized and presented a blockchain solution to C-suite executives, secured resources to lead a 6-person team
• delivered an MVP ahead of schedule that identified 95% of counterfeit parts, saving $2M/year for Cisco Brand Protection
• Led the process creation, management, and distribution of a $90M centralized Supply Chain Operations platform and operations budget.
• Optimized planning and resourcing for 3 large scale programs; revamped shared resourcing from world-wide cross functional teams which resulted in 50% increase in output with no impacts to budget

Quits his high paying job at CISCO and takes off on a 40 day backpacking trip to SE Asia. Meets an amazing group of friends majority of them from Norway, Germany etc and they are his besties for next 35 days..

Travels and explores the history and culture of Burma, Vietnam, Thailand for 35 days..
COVID hits, forces the tour to stop. He is literally on the last international flight out of Bangkok, spends 25 hours as a layover in Doha, arrives home 54 hours later. 
Gets put into forced quarantine at home for 2 weeks, with food delivered outside his room!

COVID at home, brings the best out of him. Home after almost 7 years, he is all too comfy with his best friend- BANNER (his 4 legged brother).
His baking and culinary skills take off and he starts on a new adventure.

The SA trip and COVID and the light bulb goes on....

Rohan decides that MBA from Top 10 is the way forward. Next couple of months is spent cramming for the GMAT and GRE.  His hard work and perseverance pays off with offers to join some top notch MBA programs. His heart being in NC, he commits to Duke- Fuqua School of Business, Durham.

What a great choice. He met some of the brightest minds and greatest friends there. He looked so much happier and so content with everything happening.

Moved to Station 9 apartment close to DUKE.

Rohan lived in Station 9 while at Duke and approached the summer term enthusiastically. He organized many inclusive events, such as barbecues, pool gatherings, and more intimate get-togethers, that helped him make new friends. Many regarded Rohan as one of the first people they met at Fuqua; his ubiquitous presence made a meaningful impact to his beloved community.  

Despite a challenging job search process, Rohan balanced his social life, academics, and job search with the help of close friends. He secured a coveted internship at Chewy, a unicorn tech firm specializing in pets’ e-commerce. 

After his job search, Rohan traveled extensively, visiting Brazil, Columbia, Nashville, Asheville, Myrtle Beach, and New York. He also spent more quality time with his close friends. During one outing to Drive Shack, Rohan said, “This is life. I want to be able to hit a couple of balls, hang with my buddies, and eat good food; that’s what I’ll be earning for”. 

At Chewy, Rohan was much appreciated by his manager and colleagues. He ultimately chose to work remotely from Durham, allowing him to enjoy his summer while working, socializing with friends and family, and relaxing at home.

Rohan was interning with Chewy in Miami, FL. 
Decides to drive back to surprise us for Father's day.  Father's Day 2022 (my last father's day) was lunch at Ju Ju's in Durham, then spent some time walking around downtown talking about life in Miami and what the future holds.

June 28th 2022- While walking towards Harris Teeter in Durham, he suffers a cardiac arrest and is taken to Duke Hospital. Fights with every bit of energy in his body but the Almighty had different plans!

June 29th, 2022 at 10.45am the world comes to a standstill. Time pauses ...........
