Mrs. Brooks was born June 8, 1972 in East Point, GA to Howell Eugene Lunsford and the late Connie Sue Spence Lunsford. She was a member of Heaven Bound Church of God.

Family was at the center of her life. As a dedicated housewife, she loved to cook delicious meals for everyone. Having her family gathered around at the dinner table gave her great joy.

In her spare time she enjoyed watercolor painting and fishing.

Survivors include: her husband, Steve Brooks; her father, Howell Lunsford; two sons: Steve Lucas and Austin Lucas; two sisters: Cathy Lunsford and Tracy Lunsford; one niece; one nephew; two great-nieces and one great-nephew; two uncles: Thomas Spence (Linda) and Michael Spence (Elizabeth); two aunts: Brenda Armstrong and Charlene McDonald (Rodney); and a number of other relatives and friends.
