My condolences to Professor Vietorisz's family. He was my thesis advisor at Cornell from 2000 to 2002. I was also his graduate assistant during that time. He was a kind man, sensing what a hard time I was having and trying to go easy on me during my time there. I admired his intelligence and sense of humor, and I will remember him fondly.
