Mrs. Jane, Craig, Hope, Amy and the Currin family, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Mr. Poe. Please know we are thinking and praying for you all here in Alabama, as momma and Aunt Sally shared the news of his passing. 

Craig, my brother in Christ, I recall being home during my Army days and hearing you preach a sermon and having the honor of baptizing Mr. Poe... no greater gift than leading your dad to Christ! 

You are all very special, from Mrs. Jane being my substitute teacher at Wilton Elementary, to Craig riding the bus when my mother drove and seeing Mr. Poe at Ford Warehouse during tobacco season with my late grandfather, Carrol Turner.

My sympathies to all in the Currin family. Poe was very supportive when I was a young coach at South Granville HS. His love of baseball and kids was evident when he coached the JV baseball team. I thought of him often over the years.

So sorry for your loss. May you find peace in knowing that he is now resting.

To Chuck, Amy, and Hunter. I have not seen or spoke with you all in several years but that does not mean you are not being thought of. Mr Poe was an amazing person. Granville county has lost a legend. Keeping your family in my prayers.

My condolences go to you all, Poe was a kind,funny and a good business man. It was a privilege knowing him. So sorry for your loss!

We all came up together with only a few miles separating us enjoying the farming life. The soil enriched all of our lives and neighbors actually help each other back in those days. It saddens me that one of our Original farm families has lost a great man. Poe, you will be missed!
