Zdzislaw “Ziggy” Bystrek

Zdzislaw “Ziggy” Bystrek of Lawrenceville, NJ peacefully passed away on October 28, 2021 at the age of 57. Born in Mielec, Poland. Son of Tadeusz Bystrek and Maria Koziol. Survived by his wife Anna Bystrek, two sons David and Peter and their daughter Ewelina Bystrek Zettlemoyer, her husband Eric Zettlemoyer and his two granddaughters he loved so very much, Emily and Isabella.

Ziggy loved to work with his hands and will be remembered for the things he constructed and the relationships he built over his life. He served his community in Poland as a police officer for 20 years before coming to the United States. One of his proudest moments, in addition to his children and grandchildren was becoming a citizen of the United States. He loved spending time with his son’s German Shephard, Max.

In honoring his last wishes, services were held at The National Shrine of Our Lady Of Czestochowa, 645 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901 on November 5th, 2021. His remains were laid to rest in the Columbarium, section 13, row A.
